This Lucas Ballast Resister was fitted to some MK4 and Early 1500 Spitfires. Later Variants had a resistive wire fitted in the wiring loom, this resistive wire over time does loose its resistance and can be replaced with this Ballast Resister. Use with Balast type 1.5 ohm Coils.
